Zurich Print Institute

The Zurich Print Institute is a cooperative high-end print workshop, established in Zurich in 2023 founded by master printer Thomi Wolfensberger as well as curator and Edition VFO publisher David Khalat. We understand our mission as a beacon of artistic exploration in the realm of printmaking, driven by a resolute commitment to promoting creativity.

At the Zurich Print Institute, our objective is to preserve Switzerland's respected position in contemporary art production. By forging innovative partnerships with acclaimed international artists and institutions, we embark on groundbreaking print projects that push the boundaries of artistic expression.

Through our collaborations and public programs, we engage in both international and local art communities, with the aim of inspiring and developing an appreciation of print practice in contemporary art. We foster the immaterial heritage of printmaking alongside committed sustainable production, involving a local artisan community.

We offer the highest standards in all four processes of traditional printmaking. Whether you're an artist seeking to experiment with the limits of print production or an institution eager to explore the dynamic world of printmaking, the Zurich Print Institute is your home for craftsmanship and artistic innovation.

Besides our inhouse production, we offer any print related consultancy, be it one of the above classical techniques or digital, inkjet, c-print, uv-printing, and 3D printing. Furthermore, we provide full advisory services on commissioning and producing works for artists, institutions, collections, or clients like museums or private companies.
